About SPWAY

北京微自恒通科技有限公司 (Beijing Micro-Automation Technology Co., Ltd.), trading as SPWAY, has developed communication software for the power industry since 2009. Our work sits in one narrow band: the protocols that let substation devices, gateways and control centres exchange operational data.

That band includes IEC 61850 (information model, MMS, GOOSE, SV, SCL), IEC 60870-5-101/103/104 telecontrol, IEC 61970 CIM for model exchange, and the industrial protocols — Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT — that appear at the edge of the same installations. We implement them as source-licensed libraries, as test tools that can prove an implementation, and as gateways that translate between them.

What we make

• Development packages — IEC 61850 IED-side and client-side libraries, and an IEC 60870-5-101/103/104 stack, delivered with source, project files and sample applications.
• Conformance test tools — clause-level testers for both 61850 roles, plus a protocol analyzer covering 61850, GOOSE, SV and 101/103/104.
• Engineering tools — ICD configuration, model-to-device data mapping, and SSD Studio for single-line diagrams that carry a valid SCL model.
• Gateways and units — the SPW860-8X communication unit for protocol conversion on site, and FPGA-based development boards for smart-device projects.

How we deliver

A licence typically includes the source or library, the project and build files, the API manual, sample projects, the point-table tooling and the test-case set. Integration support, on-site commissioning and training are available with the licence; the same engineers who wrote the stack answer the questions about it.

For overseas customers the practical questions are usually: which platforms are supported, what happens when a third-party device deviates from the standard, and what the licence allows in our own product line. All three have concrete answers on each product page — and if one of them is a deal-breaker for you, say so early, because it is cheaper for both of us to find out before a purchase order than after.
